Before joining the funeral industry, Josh served as a director at a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to children in foster care. The values of empathy and encouragement ingrained in him during his time at the organization seamlessly transferred into his work as a funeral director and funeral home manager.

When Josh and his colleagues established Ethos, their primary concern was that the authenticity and significance of their work would be diluted due to the company's online nature. To prevent this from happening, they made a promise that every family who used their services would receive direct communication from one of them, either in person or over the phone. They are committed to providing the convenience and simplicity of online services while maintaining a personal touch that sets them apart.
